Joakim Leroy is currently based in Bali; he lived in Indonesia from 2000 to 2003. He just relocated from Thailand, where he was accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand to work as a Freelance photographer. He has been living in South East Asia since 2000 and has covered numerous countries such as Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan and recently The Maldives. Today, he specialises most in Travel, Editorial, Portrait, Product, Concept, Wedding and Commercial photography.
He also works for AZU Editions, a book publisher, on a series of mini travel books and he has covered destinations like Singapore, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Hua Hin (Thailand), Pukhet (Thailand) and Pattaya (Thailand). He has contributed photographs to various magazines and newspapers and his extensive photo library is available on request for reproduction.
