I saw this book in person and it is amazing. My daughter fell in love with it when her friend brought it to school. Any girl between the ages of 6 to 10 would love this. I would not recommend it for girls younger because they may be too rough with it.

Lovely book ,27/03/2008
My granddaughter and I received this book yesteday as an addition to the other four books by Maggie Bateson and Louise Comfort that we have in our collection. This book has one less "room" than the others, and they don't interconnect through doorways as the others do, but it is still a work of art and much to look at and fun to play with. There are a few less fairies for play and my copy of the book didn't fold out as neatly and easily as the other books did. I imagine with use it will get better. My granddaughter is only 3, but plays well with these lovely works of art with supervision. Since this copy of the book mainly deals with an upcoming wedding there is a little less to play with and not as many secret doors to open. It does have a lovely display of fireworks and things to pull up. These books are very durable when treated with care and have provided her with countless hours of fun. I enjoy looking at them as simply magnificent works of art.
